The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce will host its 10th annual Golf Classic on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Druid Hills Golf Club. Participants will have opportunities to network and enjoy 18 holes of golf. We will end the day with an award ceremony and reception.

Come enjoy a relaxing day of golf while networking with clients, friends and sponsors. The Chamber’s golf tournament is a captain’s choice format with approximately 128 golfers during the one-day tournament.

Apex 2014 Awards

The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce is hosting its third annual APEX Awards celebrating the 2014 Business of the Year and the 2014 Small Business Champion of the Year. Organizations are honored for exemplary standards in business development, employee programs, business innovation, contribution to DeKalb County and the Metro Atlanta Region.

Research continually shows that the small business sector produces the lion’s share of jobs in this country.  In addition, the small business and non-profit communities play a significant role in innovation and advances in product and service development leading to improvements in how we conduct business, serve our communities and maintain high qualities of life.
 
Nominate a client, a vendor or your own business for the DeKalb Chamber’s 2014 Small Business of the Year (one each per firm, based on 1M-5M, 5M-10M, 10M-20M), 2014 Emerging Business of the Year, Youth Initiative Award, Small Business Advocacy Award, and Community Workforce Award.

An event where DeKalb Chamber of Commerce organizations are honored for exemplary standards in business development, employee programs, business innovation, contribution to DeKalb County and Metro Atlanta Region. Four awards are presented, Small Business (less than 50 employees), Small Business (51 to 99), Small Business (100+) and Non-Profit of the Year. The event also provides chamber members and members of the business and non-profit communities a diverse atmosphere to gather and exchange business solutions and leads while socializing in a relaxed environment

Awards will be presented in the following annual revenue categories:

New MARTA CEO and GM Keith Parker to Discuss 2013 Agenda

(Atlanta, GA – January 9, 2013)

Join the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce for the kick-off of its Executive Speaker Series (formerly known as First Monday Lunch) on Wednesday January 23, 2013.  Keith Parker, the new CEO and General Manager of MARTA will discuss the 2013 agenda and other initiatives.

The luncheon program will be held from 11:30 am-1:30 pm at the Holiday Inn Perimeter, 4386 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. Atlanta GA 30341.

Keith T. Parker, AICP, is the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) the nation’s 9th largest transit system which includes heavy rail, bus and paratransit services.  MARTA provides nearly 420,000 passenger boardings a day. Parker took the helm of MARTA on December 10, 2012. Under his leadership, the Authority is focused on working with employees, customers, transit stakeholders and the community to provide safe, efficient, and high quality transit services to the Atlanta region.

Introduction of New Chair-Elect, Board Members and the 2013 Agenda

Join the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce for its 75th Annual Meeting and Dinner on Feb. 21st when out-going Chair, Kevin Greiner transitions his duties to the 2013 Chair Elect Arnie Silverman, President and CEO of Silverman Construction Program Management.  The new Chair will give his 2013 agenda. This program is presented by AT&T and hosted by Gas South.

The meeting and dinner will be held from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 130 Clairemont Avenue Decatur GA 30030.  Tickets are $100 dollars for members purchased by Wednesday February 20, 2013.
