Young Professionals Host Multi-Cultural Marketing Program
May 19, 2014
On May 19th, the Chamber’s Young Professionals (YP) Group held their first luncheon of the year; a multicultural marketing discussion. More than 50 YP members gathered at Oglethorpe Power to hear insights from our expert panelists representing Univision 34 Television Group, Turner Broadcasting Systems, and BB&T Bank. The panel covered topics including strategic multicultural marketing goals, outreach initiatives, sales strategies, and much more.
Several entrepreneurs in the audience took the opportunity to ask detailed questions regarding effective marketing outreach and advertising on a budget. Panelist Tulu Kaifee, VP and Regional Multicultural Markets Officer with BB&T stated, “You are your own brand and must establish your own personal brand to be successful.” Panelist Ramon Cortes, Director of Marketing with Turner Broadcasting Systems added, “When you’re a small business, have a point of difference and personal relationships with your consumers.”
