DeKalb Chamber of Commerce Announces New Staff

DECATUR, Ga. – July 30, 2015 – DeKalb Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hire of three key staff members as the organization continues to build on its 77 years of business growth and development.

“It is with great pleasure that I introduce the new team to Chamber members and DeKalb County,” said Katerina Taylor, DeKalb Chamber President. “They bring high energy, enthusiasm and fresh ideas that will help propel our goals to support and strengthen the business community.”

DeKalb Chamber members and the community can meet the new staff at the upcoming Business After Hours on August 18 at Iberian Pig on 121 Sycamore Street in Decatur. For more details about the Chamber’s events, please visit www.dekalbchamber.org.

The new staff members include:

Kim Childs, Vice President of Operations, a seasoned financial professional with more than 20 years of experience working in corporate retail and commercial banking. She is responsible for streamlining all operational areas of the Chamber;

Emily Yang, Communications and Experiential Marketing Manager, a communications and marketing professional with experience working with the DeKalb community. She is responsible for managing internal and external communications and overseeing the Chamber’s signature events and programs;

And, Rick Young, Director of Membership Development, a successful retail and commercial banker with over 16 years of experience working in the Atlanta and DeKalb market. He is responsible for managing member acquisitions, retention and engagement and overseeing all member relation events.
