DeKalb Chamber President Katerina Taylor Receives 2017 Phenomenal Woman Award

DECATUR, Ga., April 3, 2017 – DeKalb Chamber President & CEO Katerina Taylor received the 2017 Phenomenal Woman of the Year Award by the Kennesaw State University Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics, and Character.

The Phenomenal Woman Award is offered annually to a woman who exemplifies ethical leadership and commitment to her community. The Phenomenal Woman of the Year serves as a role model for the metro-Atlanta area.

“The selection committee evaluates candidates based on their achievements in their professions and for their community. Katerina Taylor epitomizes the legacy of the Phenomenal Woman of the Year Award,” said Dr. Linda M. Johnston, Executive Director and Professor, Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics, and Character, Kennesaw State University.+

“I am honored to receive the Phenomenal Woman of the Year Award by the Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics and Character,” said Katerina during her award acceptance. “At the DeKalb Chamber, we understand the importance of developing and supporting women leaders. Under my leadership, we expanded our programming to include a Women’s Golf Clinic in our Annual Golf Tournament, and developed the Women Executive Leaders of DeKalb to serve as a place for women leaders to convene.”

To celebrate Women’s History Month in March, the DeKalb Chamber has highlighted 10 women making a difference in DeKalb County and the metro region. To find out more about the women highlighted, please visit bit.ly/DeKalbChamberSpotlight.
