Georgia Attorney General to Keynote DeKalb Chamber Luncheon
DECATUR, Ga., – Sept. 18, 2017 – Chris Carr, Georgia Attorney General, will serve as the keynote speaker for the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce General Membership Meeting on Sept. 28. from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Atlanta Marriott Century Center, 2000 Century Boulevard NE, Atlanta.
Attorney General Carr will discuss the responsibilities of the Attorney General’s Office and its role in protecting Georgia businesses.
“With the recent data breach at Equifax impacting nearly 5 million Georgians, it’s important for our members to know how to protect themselves and their businesses from cyber threats,” said Katerina Taylor, DeKalb Chamber President and CEO. “It is also important to know how Georgia is managing legal matters from the highest state legal office.”

Attorney General Carr is Georgia’s 54th Attorney General. He was appointed to the role by Governor Nathan Deal to fill a vacancy created by the departure of former Attorney General Sam Oleans. Attorney General Carr previous served as the Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
