 In addition, in May 2014, the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with DeKalb County, the DeKalb
 County School District and City Schools of Decatur, presented $65,000 in college scholarships to 24 high   Chair
 school seniors at the second annual DeKalb County Education Scholarship Fund Awards Ceremony.

 As the Chamber continued its year in

 McClarty ended his ten-year career and

 The business community is the heartbeat of the
 Chamber and to celebrate the many businesses in   The Private Bank  Society of St. Vincent de Paul
 DeKalb the Chamber again hosted its annual Apex
 Business Awards. Mark A. Wilson, President/CEO of                             Georgia
 Atlanta-based eVerifile, Inc., was the keynote speaker
 and three new categories for awards were added   Education     Membership Engagement
 last year.  These included the Youth Initiative Award,
 which recognizes a student who has successfully   JaKathryn Ross  Matthew Shepherd
 completed an entrepreneurship program; the Small
 Business Advocacy Award, which   Georgia Pacific           Delta Community Credit Union
 honors a not-for-profit business
 that assists the community, and the Community Workforce
 Development Award, which acknowledges an organization   Economic Development  Governmental Affairs
 that provides employment to people facing obstacles in
 the business community. In addition, several companies   Corregio Peagler Sr.  Gregory J. Wilson
 including Gas South, MARTA, and DeKalb County Contracts
 and Purchasing Department were available at the event to   Brown and Caldwell  CH2M Hill
 provide procurement opportunities.
