Community Partnership





           Always an advocate for community engagement and
           awareness, the DeKalb Chamber took things to a new
           level in 2013 as the staff and membership became
           more involved the DeKalb County community. Chamber
           personnel participated in over 40 different programs with
           non-profit partners such as the United Way, Youth Entrepre-
           neurs Georgia, Northlake Rotary, and the Boys Scouts.


           The Chamber also cultivated new relationships with groups
           such as 21st Century Leaders. In fact, the relationship went
           so well, the Chamber secured an intern from the group.
           The Chamber continued its efforts in supporting DeKalb   (L) LISA LOFTEN, DIANE MCCLEAREN, AND JUDY TURNER ATTEND
           County elected officials as it was a sponsor of Commissioner   EGGS AND ISSUES BUSINESS BREAKFAST
           Stan Watson’s third annual International and Music Festival
           and Commissioner Larry Johnson’s first annual Heart of
           South DeKalb.


           The Chamber also continued to support small businesses
           as it participated in the annual Small Business Summit.
           Chamber staff and members facilitated sessions and
           brought valuable insights to attendees seeking to take
           their business to new heights.
