Member Programs
The DeKalb Chamber enhanced membership experiences by
effectively communicating its premier programs and services
through various channels, including the launch of a new
website, advertising, weekly newsletters, and social media.
Members participated in programs that offer the opportunity
to connect with the business community and key influencers
on a local and national level.
In 2013 the Chamber transitioned its First Monday Lunch Series SMALL BUSINESS CHAIR, EARL WALKER ALONG WITH
to the Executive Speaker Series, a bi-monthly luncheon featuring CO-CHAIR MONICA MALDONADO GIVE REMARKS
metro-Atlanta’s top business leaders in a question and answer DURING THE APEX BUSINESS AWARDS
style forum to discuss special topics including economic
development, education, and public policy with members.
The Young Professionals Program (YP) is a new initiative of
the Chamber created for leaders ages 21-40 that are seeking
business and professional development opportunities.
The mission of YP is to develop young professionals through
programs and mentorship within the business community.
The group had an impressive head start with a kick-off
business reception hosted by Gas South followed by a CHAMBER MEMBERS COMPETE DURING ANNUAL
GOLF TOURNAMENT
community service day with Habitat for Humanity.
The Chamber hosted its yearly Apex Small Business Awards to
recognize and honor outstanding businesses that have impacted
the community and their organization through community
outreach, sales, and Chamber involvement.
The 9th Annual DeKalb Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic
held at the Stone Mountain Golf Club, provided members a
unique opportunity to network with top business executives
