75th Anniversary Celebration






           The year 2013 marked the 75th Diamond Anniversary of
           the DeKalb Chamber.  The Chamber celebrated 75 years
           of service in the Metro-Atlanta community and its continued
           partnerships with local government, the DeKalb County
           school system, and the business community.  Through a
           host of events beginning in September, the Chamber hosted
           a business forum, a community service day and culminated
           with a 75th Anniversary Gala.

           The business forum gave members an opportunity to discuss
           key community concerns and generate ideas that stimulate   (L) ROBERT VOYLES, CRAIG LESSER, GREG BARANCO, AND

            Panelists Greg Baranco, President of Baranco Automotive
           Group; Becky Blalock, Managing Partner of Advisory Capitol;
           Yvette Cook, SVP Chief Marketing Officer for United Way; Craig
           Lesser Managing Partner of The Pendleton Group; and Robert
           Voyles, Principal & CEO of Seven Oaks Company covered
           topics conducive to growth including healthcare, tax reform,
           workforce and economic development.


           The inaugural community day of service allowed Chamber
           members to volunteer with a local non-profit organization.   CLERK OF SUPERIOR COURT DEBRA DEBERRY ALONG WITH
           Members worked with the Peachcrest Salvation Army Boys             STAFF PARTICIPATE AT COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY
           and Girls Club to clean, paint, and organize the facility
           located in DeKalb County. The Chamber’s outreach initiative
           encourages business involvement in grassroots efforts
           throughout DeKalb County.


           The Diamond Anniversary Gala commemorated the Chamber’s
           accomplishments and recognized the businesses that have
           supported the Chamber’s endeavors over the years.
           Over 400 guests attended the celebration which honored
           individuals and organizations that have impacted the
           community. Attendees included faith-based groups,       CHAMBER MEMBERS VOLUNTEER AT COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY
           local non-profits, businesses, government agencies,
           dignitaries, and elected officials.
